The Meridian Warriors pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Post Falls 63-57. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Meridian in their matchups with Post Falls: they've now lost three in a row.
Post Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooklynn Brennan, who scored 25 points along with 3 steals. Myckenzee Mitley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meridian's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Post Falls, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Meridian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lake City at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Lake City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meridian in Idaho (Lake City is ranked seventh, while Meridian is ranked 57th). Post Falls and Eagle will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Eagle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
