Central and Clearfield are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Dragons will welcome the Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Central barely beat Somerset the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons never let the Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Nobody will forget Mason Sparks's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Somerset's batters): he turned in a perfect game. Sparks also allowed no hits, which is notable because Central is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 4-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Wyatt Dilling was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Colton Porreca, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Clearfield sidestepped Central Cambria for a 3-2 win.
Jayce Brothers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Brothers was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.
Brothers wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was O'Brian Owens, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
The victory got Clearfield back to even at 6-6. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Clearfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .431. It's a different story for Clearfield, though, as they've only averaged .357. Will they be able to contain Central's hitters?
Central came up short against Clearfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 6-3. Will the Dragons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
