The Memorial Red Devils lost against the Newton Falls Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Memorial was beaten by Newton Falls 53-23. Memorial has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Memorial lost, one person who can't be blamed is Diamon Sims. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Sims continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Newton Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Crestview at 6:15 p.m. on January 18th. Newton Falls will take on LaBrae at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
