The Princeton Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rosewood. Princeton lost against Rosewood in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-41 score last time.
Despite the loss, Princeton still got an impressive performance from Landon Murphy, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds. Zion Joyner was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Princeton struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Rosewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Lamm led the charge by scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lamm pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Cox, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Princeton bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rosewood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Princeton will be home for the holidays to greet Neuse Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rosewood will take on Wayne Country Day in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. One thing working in Wayne Country Day's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
