Roxbury extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Jersey - National this week by beating Parsippany Hills, 14-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Roxbury was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Vikings 14-7. Cosmo Lorusso's team came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Parsippany Hills' dynamic duo of Tyler Simms and Kire Milevski proved tough for the Gaels to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Simms threw for 208 yards and one touchdown and Milevski had 70 yards receiving. Tyler Bartro helped Parsippany Hills' passing attack out by catching five balls for 67 yards.
Jamie White was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 88 yards on 10 carries as Delbarton fell to Roxbury. Steven Delosa also contributed to the rushing game with 58 yards on the ground.
The Vikings' Simms and Milevski have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Simms has thrown for 694 yards this season, while Milevski, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 20 catches for 251 yards. Donald Panciello from the Gaels leads the league in rushing with 495 yards.
The marquee game in Northwest Jersey - National this week will be the clash between the Green Wave and Roxbury. Delbarton enters the game ranked 17th in the state, while the Gaels ranks 20th.
Brian Bowers's team took down Chatham 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. White in the win.
