The Gulfport Admirals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-37 to D'Iberville. If Gulfport was looking for revenge after losing 52-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead D'Iberville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amiyah Simpkins, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Simpkins hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Teeale Wells, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Gulfport's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-21. As for D'Iberville, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gulfport's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. D'Iberville will take on the Admirals at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
