The result was an unpleasant reminder to Millennium of the 74-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Millennium lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aryan Hira. Despite the final result, he scored 37 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Millennium's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Bethany, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-24.
Millennium didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-46 victory vs. Millers Creek Christian on the 9th. Bethany will head out on the road to face off against Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in North Carolina (Triad Math and Science Academy is ranked 667th, while Bethany is ranked 677th).
