If St. John's Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Dorchester Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orangeburg Prep Indians on Monday. The Cavaliers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

St. John's Christian Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sumter Moorer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Moorer has become a key player for the Cavaliers: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another was Landon Chipman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

St. John's Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Orangeburg Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's Christian Academy will take on Williamsburg Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orangeburg Prep, they will square off against Patrick Henry Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
