A recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in the second most populated county in Texas has caused a major shake-up in the weekend's high school football schedule. Health officials in Dallas County reported 238 additional cases and four deaths Thursday,
according to NBCDFW.
Denton Ryan and Wylie have already announced they are shutting things down for 14 days and will not play games scheduled for next week either.
The biggest game nationally could also be in doubt as No. 1
IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) is in town to face No. 6
Duncanville at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Saturday. As of Friday morning, that game is still on.

Allen beat Atascocita last week to improve to 2-0 but will be back on the sideline Friday due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases around Dallas.
