Even though the Eau Claire Shamrocks scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, the Dreher Blue Devils still came out on top. Dreher escaped with a win against Eau Claire by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dreher also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
Among those leading the charge was Martaz Owens, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Barr, who scored 12 points.
The win got Dreher back to even at 1-1. As for Eau Claire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Dreher will head out on the road to face off against Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eau Claire, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lower Richland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
