After flying high against Chamberlain on Tuesday, Winner came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Corsica/Stickney Jaguars by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While Corsica/Stickney got the win, Winner sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-24, 20-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Cali Vanden Hoek had an outrageously good game for Corsica/Stickney as she had 32 digs. That's the most digs Vanden Hoek has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Remi Nelson, who had eight digs and two aces.

Winner's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Corsica/Stickney, they pushed their record up to 16-11 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winner will take on Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corsica/Stickney, they will square off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
