The Goessel Bluebirds's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Classical Saints at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Goessel beat Herington 50-45.
Meanwhile, Classical entered their tilt with School of the Ozarks with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Classical simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat School of the Ozarks 67-40 at home. Classical has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 24 points or more this season.
Goessel's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Classical, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
Goessel took a serious blow against Classical when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 55-26. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Goessel was down 35-14.
