Park and Irondale are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Park Wolfpack will head out on the road to face off against the Irondale Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 232 points over their last three matches.
Even though Hastings scored an imposing 89 points on Thursday, Park still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Park made off with a 90-89 victory over Hastings.
Meanwhile, Irondale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Cretin-Derham Hall on the road and fell 78-46.
The losing side was boosted by Jake Dedominces, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Irondale struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Park's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Irondale, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Park couldn't quite finish off Irondale when the teams last played back in February and fell 80-77. Can Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
