The Palmetto Ridge Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Golden Gate with points to spare, taking the game 54-36. That looming 54-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Palmetto Ridge yet this season.
Palmetto Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordyn Villani out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Villani's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Haley Cousins, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Golden Gate saw an underclassman step up: Aisha Petithomme scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chrisna Charlot, who scored six points.
Palmetto Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Golden Gate, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmetto Ridge and Immokalee will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Golden Gate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf Coast will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
