Angie Tavella spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Lauren Santa Barbara was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexa Mills, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Ludlowe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Rogers now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ludlowe, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
