If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Paramus. They will take on NV - Demarest at home on Friday. NV - Demarest will need to watch out since Paramus have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Paramus ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Ridgewood 35-34. Junior Trevor Bopp was the offensive standout of the match for Paramus, as he rushed for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bopp has been a consistent playmaker for Paramus as this was the 6th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, NV - Demarest got themselves on the board against Cliffside Park, but Cliffside Park never followed suit. NV - Demarest took the match and then some with a 41-0 victory over Cliffside Park. The NV - Demarest offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Their wins bumped Paramus to 6-0 and NV - Demarest to 3-3. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
