Hart has gone a perfect 9-0 against Castaic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hawks will host the Coyotes at 3:15 p.m.
On Tuesday, Hart came up short against Saugus and fell 6-2. The Hawks have struggled against the Centurions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Hart saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailyn Dodson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Castaic). Everything went their way against Golden Valley on Monday as they made off with a 15-5 win. With that victory, the Coyotes brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Katelyn Eppenbaugh was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Eppenbaugh was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Castaic got a massive performance out of Emma French, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs French has posted since back in February of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Wheeler, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Castaic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Hart now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Castaic, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-8 record.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hart hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Castaic struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Hart's way against Castaic in their previous meeting back in March, as Hart made off with a 10-2 victory. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
