New Dimensions has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Bell Creek Academy Panthers at TBD on Tuesday. New Dimensions will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Panthers are ranked 141st).
Last Thursday, New Dimensions lost to the Lions at home by a decisive 66-52 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Dimensions in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, even though IMG Academy Silver scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, Bell Creek Academy still came out on top. Bell Creek Academy took their matchup against the Ascenders 62-55.
Bell Creek Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jermal Jones, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jones hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Caleb Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
New Dimensions' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bell Creek Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home.
New Dimensions took a serious blow against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 88-27. Can New Dimensions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
