The St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws will challenge the Resurrection Catholic Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Stanislaus has three straight wins, Resurrection Catholic has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
St. Stanislaus' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on St. Patrick with a sharp 11-0 victory. That 11-run margin sets a new team best for the Rock-a-Chaws this season.
Tate Murphy made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Murphy wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Warren Gunter, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Gunter has posted since back in April of 2025. Wiley Mossy was another, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Resurrection Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Stringer on Friday and fell 3-1.

Resurrection Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. St. Stanislaus has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Resurrection Catholic, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will St. Stanislaus keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
