Norwood led A-8 West - Western (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Nucla.
Mancos's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Casey Rohweder threw for 93 yards and Brandon Hood-Farley had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Branson Mitchell chipped in 304 yards. Conner Jankowski helped Mancos' passing attack out by catching two balls for 41 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Dalton Randolph of Dove Creek is the league leader in passing yards this season with 430. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, the Bluejays' Mitchell has rushed for 1373 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jankowski. The Mancos star has nine catches for 170 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Mancos. Dove Creek is currently in second, while Kyle Graff's team is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Shane Baughman's team and the Bluejays face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Bulldogs comes in having scored 162 this season, while Mancos has scored 210.
Mitchell broke off the longest rushing play in A-8 West - Western (8 Man) this week with a 74-yard scamper against Plateau Valley.
