For the first time this season, Robertsdale will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Daphne Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Robertsdale's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on St. Michael Catholic with a sharp 10-0 victory. While the Golden Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Ashton Mckey looked comfortable as she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low.

At the plate, Danica Parnell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Olivia Parker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple.
Robertsdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Michael Catholic only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Daphne had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Pirates as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Victoria Moten was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Daphne got a massive performance out of Cammerlyn Herport, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Abby J Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple.
Robertsdale is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. Daphne pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Robertsdale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Daphne struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Robertsdale came up short against Daphne when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 6-1. Will Robertsdale have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
