New Lothrop extended their losing streak  to seven  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 14-16 in the process. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fulton Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  9-8  on Tuesday.
  Nathan Kuchar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Zane Rumisek, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run.
As for Fulton, they pushed their record up to 30-6 with the  victory, which was their 18th straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.
 On Fulton's side,  Parker Billings was  excellent,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  runs.  Parker Hungerford was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Looking ahead, New Lothrop will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Owosso  at 4:30  p.m. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1  runs per game  this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
