The Puget Sound Adventist Sharks lost against the Auburn Adventist Falcons back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Puget Sound Adventist took a serious blow against Auburn Adventist, falling 77-35. Puget Sound Adventist has not had much luck with Auburn Adventist recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Auburn Adventist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Russell, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Russell is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. John-Andrew Dubreuil was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Puget Sound Adventist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Auburn Adventist, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Puget Sound Adventist will take on Northwest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Auburn Adventist won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Varsity Opponent has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 15.
