The Huss Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Kings Mountain Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Huss knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Mountaineers like a good challenge.
While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, Huss was not quite the Chargers' equal in the second half on Tuesday. Huss took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Savanni Harris, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Swann, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kings Mountain, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They fell 36-27 to Ashbrook on Tuesday. Kings Mountain has not had much luck with the Greenwave recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Huss now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Kings Mountain, their loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.
Everything came up roses for Huss against the Mountaineers in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 58-14 win. With Huss ahead 37-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
