Seton Catholic was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jolie Scherschel paced Seton Catholic's offense, picking up 12 kills. Scherschel got some help from Taryn Tremain and her 18 assists. Tremain was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Seton Catholic's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Seton Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Herron on the 27th. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
