After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Forest Grove, Century was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the McDaniel Mountain Lions 26-24. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jermaen Smith was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Century was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McDaniel only rushed for 48 rushing yards.

Several Mountain Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaydin Jordan, who picked up 142 receiving yards and one touchdown. Jesse Jones also helped with two TDs in total.

The victory got Century back to even at 1-1. As for McDaniel, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Century has already played their next match, a 27-14 win against Cleveland on the 19th. As for McDaniel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-14 defeat against Ida B. Wells on the 19th.
