Even though the Ridgevue Warhawks have not done well against the Columbia Wildcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Ridgevue made off with a 47-46 victory over Columbia. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ridgevue.
Ridgevue can attribute much of their success to Mckenna Durrant, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Durrant has scored at least 25% of Ridgevue's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacotah Thomas, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Ridgevue back to even at 3-3. As for Columbia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Ridgevue will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to face off against Boise at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boise presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Columbia in Idaho (Boise is ranked fourth, while Columbia is ranked 64th).
