Sedan is 10-0 against Argonia since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sedan Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Argonia Red Raiders at 7:30 a.m. Sedan is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Sedan pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central.
Meanwhile, Argonia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 53-40 to Caldwell.
The losing side was boosted by Dalton Morrison, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Filippo Leonardi, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Sedan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Argonia, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Sedan strolled past Argonia when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 48-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sedan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
