Softball Recap: Chuckey-Doak's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Chuckey-Doak had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Happy Valley Warriors on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Black Knights considering their one-run performance the match before.

Madison Malone was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Malone was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tralyn Southerland, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Saniah Atchison was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Chuckey-Doak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Chuckey-Doak's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Happy Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
