The Midway/Minto Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Midway/Minto had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against Langdon/Edmore/Munich by a score of 69-61.
Meanwhile, Drayton/Valley-Edinburg had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 58-50 win over Larimore on Tuesday. The victory was just what Drayton/Valley-Edinburg needed coming off of a 77-50 defeat in their prior contest.
Midway/Minto pushed their record up to 10-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.
Everything came up roses for Midway/Minto against the Titans in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 78-40 victory. Does Midway/Minto have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
