Freeland has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played. Costa Mesa's leading receiver Kassandra Ramirez was Freeland's top target yet again, picking up 170 receiving yards and one score.
Costa Mesa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Emi Kamikihara.
Costa Mesa's win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Costa Mesa has already played their next contest, a 37-0 victory against Los Amigos on the 3rd. As for Fairmont Prep, they will face off against Tesoro at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday.
