The Lab University Prep Lab Rats will head out on the road to take on the Word of God Christian Academy National Holy Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Saturday, Lab University Prep earned a 80-73 victory over Westminster Catawba Christian. Given Lab University Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 16th in North Carolina, while Westminster Catawba Christian is ranked 116th in South Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Christian Aukuso, who scored 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of DeMarco Reynolds, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Word of God Christian Academy National waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Quality Education Academy with a sharp 67-47 victory.
Lab University Prep's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Word of God Christian Academy National, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.
