Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Middle Tennessee Christian walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Silverdale Academy Seahawks on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now won three in a row.

Middle Tennessee Christian never let Silverdale Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Silverdale Academy had strong showings from Emily Givens, who had 13 digs, and Lydia Downs, who had ten digs. Givens has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Middle Tennessee Christian's record is now 31-3. As for Silverdale Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-8.

Coincidentally, Middle Tennessee Christian and Silverdale Academy will both be playing Lakeway Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Seahawks will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
