Wells wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Easton Ripp, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
The win got Cumberland back to even at 1-1.
Poynette has already played their next game, a 6-3 loss against Boyceville on the 4th. As for Cumberland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomer at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
