The Patrick Henry Rebels will head out to square off against the Richlands Blue Tornado at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Patrick Henry is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Patrick Henry proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 19) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Gate City 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Kolby Hicks was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Hicks wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Monahan, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Monahan's first of the season.
Richlands came out on top against Graham on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Blue Tornado beat the G-Men by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-4. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Tornado in their matchups with the G-Men: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Patrick Henry, Richlands also got a great game from a two-way player: Parker Ryder. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ryder was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Andrew Boyd and Gage Hylton did most of the damage at the plate: Boyd went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Hylton got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Max Herndon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Richlands kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The win got Richlands back to even at 2-2. As for Patrick Henry, their record now sits at 4-1.
Patrick Henry's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's matchup. The Rebels have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Richlands, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Patrick Henry continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Patrick Henry's way against Richlands in their previous matchup last Friday, as Patrick Henry made off with a 14-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
