Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bermudian Springs). They never let York County Tech get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
Brodie Ferrebee was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ferrebee was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bermudian Springs got a massive performance out of Lane Hubbard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Hubbard a new career-high. Brayden Heller was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Bermudian Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
West Perry's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bermudian Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
West Perry was able to grind out a solid win over Bermudian Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-6. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
