The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes won the last time they faced the Stall Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went Ashley Ridge's way against Stall as Ashley Ridge made off with a 69-43 win. Given Ashley Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Stall is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashley Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tre Green led the charge by scoring 18 points. Green continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Clayton Everett, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Ashley Ridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Stall, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashley Ridge will take on Fort Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stall, they will be playing at home against West Ashley at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in West Ashley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
