In what's become a running theme this season, the Barr-Reeve Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Shoals 40-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Barr-Reeve has posted against Shoals since January 19, 2021.
Hannah Bledsoe was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Knepp, who scored five points along with two steals and two blocks.
Barr-Reeve has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Shoals, they bumped their record down to 4-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will challenge South Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Knox is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games. Shoals won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dugger Union at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. Dugger Union has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 30.
