On Friday, Northern Nash was fully in charge, breezing past Franklinton 89-55. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mount was able to grind out a solid victory over Southern Nash on Friday, taking the game 67-54. Given the Gryphons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Firebirds are ranked 392nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Another player making a difference was Anthony Jones, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.
Rocky Mount is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. As for Northern Nash, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
Northern Nash took their victory against Rocky Mount when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 66-41. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Jones, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Northern Nash still be able to contain Jones? There's only one way to find out.
