Newark Memorial has gone a perfect 10-0 against Irvington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Newark Memorial has ten straight wins, Irvington has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Newark Memorial's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Kennedy 6-0. Considering the Cougars have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Ariana Romo, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Kennedy off the board.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Newark Memorial lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy didn't launched any home runs.
Washington hit Irvington with a eight-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings lost 15-7 to the Huskies.
Maya Briones was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

However, it's not like Irvington struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Newark Memorial took their victory against Irvington in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 30-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
