Maumee waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Fostoria Redmen as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.
While Maumee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.
Bryanna Lankey paced Maumee's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lankey got some help from Brooke Kwiatkowski and her 23 assists. Kwiatkowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Maumee's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fostoria, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
