It was a good run, but Widefield unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Canon City Tigers. The Gladiators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Widefield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lydia Valandra had 20 digs and three aces. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Valandra.
Among those leading the charge was Ellee Carr, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high.
Widefield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Canon City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
