The Humboldt Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Middleton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Humboldt will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Humboldt posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 75-33 victory over Bradford on the road. Given Humboldt's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Bradford is ranked 385th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Middleton was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Clarksburg 72-38 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Middleton.
It was another big night for Taquinis Mitchell, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Woody, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Humboldt is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Middleton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Humboldt ended up a good deal behind Middleton in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, losing 66-49. Thankfully for Humboldt, Rodgerick Robinson (who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
