The Oskaloosa Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They snuck past McLouth with a 61-55 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Oskaloosa who now have three in a row.
Trenten VanHoutan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for he. Ashton Glavin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Oskaloosa's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for McLouth, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Oskaloosa will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson County North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McLouth will be home for the holidays to greet Atchison County on Friday. Atchison County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
