Rampart has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Vista Ridge Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Rampart was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-39 to the Trojans. Rampart has not had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Rampart saw an underclassman step up: Theodore Wilson scored 12 points along with three blocks. It was the first time this season that Wilson posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Adeel Johnson el, who scored ten points along with four blocks.
Meanwhile, Vista Ridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 61-41 loss at the hands of Liberty.
Rampart has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Vista Ridge, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
Rampart came up short against the Wolves when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 56-44. Thankfully for Rampart, Tyson Monck (who scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
