Maysville is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Tri-Valley is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Maysville Panthers will take on the Tri-Valley Scotties at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maysville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Tri-Valley likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Maysville didn't have too much trouble with Sheridan on the road as they won 66-52. Given Maysville's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Sheridan is ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Maysville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn Watson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Watson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Alex Bobb was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tri-Valley can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 70-26 win over River View. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-15.
Maysville is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Tri-Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Maysville couldn't quite finish off Tri-Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 53-50. Will Maysville have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
