Barnwell's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The Warhorses might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Cameron Austin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Jax Mead and Tommy Reid did most of the damage at the plate: Mead got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Reid went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Barnwell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barnwell will host Batesburg-Leesville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Warhorses' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they will be playing at home against Hampton County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
