The Neosho Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Monett 65-51. With that victory, Neosho brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.
Neosho found their leader in underclassman Kaiden Asberry, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Asberry pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrone Harris, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Neosho, bringing their record for this year to 3-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Monett, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neosho will square off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Monett is on the road again on Friday and play against Hollister at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hollister comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
