The Williams Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Maxwell by a score of 54-52. Williams was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyden Bowen, who scored 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Murillo, who scored 16 points.
Williams' loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Maxwell, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams will face off against the Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three matches. As for Maxwell, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lynx at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. CORE Butte is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
