The Triton Central Tigers lost against the Danville Warriors back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Triton Central fell 46-33 to Danville.
Danville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Ancelet, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Ava Walls, who scored 12 points.
Triton Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Danville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton Central will face off against Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Beech Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday. Danville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Western Boone at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Western Boone will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Danville is ranked 43rd).
